Cost Assurance Team Lead

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of revenue assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness and productivity.Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of cost elements, identifying discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for optimization. Review and analyze cost data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Validate cost estimates, budgets, and actual expenditures against project plans and contracts.Project Costing: Manage and oversee the costing process for all projects, ensuring accurate and timely cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project cost plans. Provide detailed project cost reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights for decision-making. Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any cost overruns or variances.Proposal Review: Review and analyze financial aspects of project proposals to ensure accuracy, feasibility, profitability, and alignment with organizational goals. Assess cost estimates, pricing strategies, and financial assumptions in proposals, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Work closely with the business development and project management teams to refine proposals and ensure financial soundness. Provide recommendations on proposal adjustments to optimize profitability and cost efficiency.Process Improvement: Develop and implement cost assurance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Continuously evaluate and improve cost reporting tools and methodologies.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to streamline cost-related processes and drive cost savings initiatives.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed cost assurance reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Maintain accurate and organized records of all cost assurance activities and findings.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all cost assurance activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and assess potential risks related to cost management, implementing measures to mitigate them.Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits related to cost assurance, providing necessary documentation and support as required.Performance Monitoring: Monitor the status and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop reports to communicate results to management. Provide recommendations on how to achieve the KPIs if fallen behind.Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in revenue assurance practices and tools.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIMA) is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost assurance, cost control, or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of driving team performance.Proficiency in SAP financial software, Google environment and other cost management toolsAdvance knowledge in Microsoft Excel who have created Costing CalculatorsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.Can start ASAP
