Job Description We are seeking a team player who shares a passion for corporate development and capital investments. This role is a key contributor to the corporate development team and will provide analytical and research support for M&A, capital investments and or other strategic initiatives to further Grace's global growth.
Major Responsibilities Highly visible role; involved in all aspects of corporate development (i.e., mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, investments, capital allocation). Successful candidate will: own complex financial models and valuations; perform strategic and quantitative analysis; analyze capital investments, target companies and industries; prepare competitive analysis; and conduct and coordinate due diligence. Effectively manage complex financial and valuation modeling and analysis (including discounted cash flows, accretion/dilution, investment returns, and sensitivity analysis) for potential M&A transactions, capital investments and other strategic initiatives. Create and/or support 'high impact' analyses and business cases for strategic initiatives around major portfolio decisions and capital investments. Create consistent and concise presentations for leadership teams and other stakeholders; provide analysis and recommendations to assist with strategic decision making. Conduct and coordinate due diligence efforts with global deal teams including both internal business segment and corporate functional teams and external advisors (investment banks, law firms, accounting firms) to ensure appropriate review. Assist with the M&A pipeline process to accelerate acquisition strategy, including researching potential targets and industry trends using public and private sources of data (annual reports and filings, Internet, Bloomberg, analyst reports, Capital IQ). Build network of internal relationships across the global organization. Required Experience Minimum 5 years relevant experience with in-depth knowledge of complex financial modeling and strategic analysis; valuation; company and market research. Solid understanding of finance/accounting; strong quantitative / analytical skill set; comfortable with interaction of IS, BS and CF statements. Prior experience in corporate development (including demonstrated experience building complex financial models), investment banking, or strategy consulting, in a multinational organization required. Strong communication skills. Independent , analytical and intellectually curious person who can structure analysis and articulate findings to a wide range of stakeholders including senior leadership throughout the organization. Advanced competency with necessary software tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, as well as external data sources such as Capital IQ, Thomson, and Bloomberg.
