The Corporate Compliance Lead (CCL) is responsible for assisting the Corporate Compliance Officer (CCO) in ensuring that internal policies and processes as well as regulatory compliance requirements are complied with. The position involves providing support to the CCO to accomplish timebound deliverables required by Bizmates Group or government agencies. In addition, the CCL is expected to work collaboratively across other departments and provide recommendations to effectively implement their policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
1. Drafts and reviews policies, procedures, learning resources, and other related content as may be instructed by the Corporate Compliance Officer
2. Designs improvements for process compliance and recommends changes that will resolve any compliance issues
3. Collaborates with CCO on the company's Business Continuity Programs and Risk Assessment Activities related to Compliance
4. Formulates risk standards and implementation programs to drive compliance for review of CCO
5. Monitors new legislation. Implementing rules and guidelines of various government agencies that will require changes into the company's compliance framework
6. Continuously monitors compliance with internal and Group policies and reports any conflicts and discrepancies
7. Assists in preparing documents and requirements for regulatory compliance
8. Continuously monitors the validity of company legal and regulatory permits and licenses and keeps up- to-date with new regulatory requirements
9. Liaises and conducts follow-ups to concerned government agencies/offices regarding the status or progress of processes or registrations, applications, and queries
10. Conducts research and prepares presentations to support compliance initiatives
11. Prepares compliance reports as may be required by the Corporate Compliance Officer
12. Provides administrative support to the Corporate Compliance Officer
13. Performs other job-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time and explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Education:
Bachelor's degree in legal management, humanities/liberal arts, finance, engineering,or any related field
Experience:
At least 3-4 years of experience in the field of compliance, internal audit, risk management, corporate governance in publicly listed companies and/or corporations in highly-regulated industries
Worked as a paralegal in a reputable law firm assigned to compliance / audit work or CPA auditors assigned in compliance work
