Job Overview:Do you love finance? We are looking for an experienced controller whowill be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of theorganization. The successful applicant will be responsible for accountingoperations, production of periodic financial reports, maintenance ofaccounting records.Responsibilities and Duties:Developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures forbudget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and otheractivities.Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investmentactivities, and financial planning.Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements andprofessional standards.Establishing and maintaining financial controls with the accountingdepartment.Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcingpolicies and procedures.Providing support to management, particularly in commercial andfinancial matters.Creating reports that help senior leadership understand companyfinancials.Being responsible for the company general ledger.Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or relatedfield.Controllers must have solid communication, technology, analytical andmanagement skills.Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generallyaccepted accounting principles (GAAP).Requires knowledge of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)regulations and provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Proven work experience in accounting or a related field.Understanding of applicable laws and regulations.Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, andbanking.Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivablefunctions.Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strongorganization and priority setting skills.Proven experience in financial project management.Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel, and spreadsheet.Must be able to communicate financial information into sound businesslanguage so people of all levels can understand.Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting.
