The Contracts Assistant supports the Legal team through the agreement process to manage, organize, and ensure our records are up-to-date as well as additional administrative tasks.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages record keeping such as filing agreements, updating relevant spreadsheets, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Reviews NDAs and complex agreements to ensure compliance with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Redlines documents to highlight proposed changes, ensuring clarity and precision in contractual language.
• Monitors the status of agreements to ensure timely execution.
• Provides administrative support to the Sales and Finance departments, including data entry, filing, and preparing agreements.
• Learns agreement process workflow and best practices.
• Handles confidential matters with discretion.
• Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient understanding of US law, Business law, and Contract law, preferred.
• Proficient in Employment law, a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Commitment to both personal and professional development.
• Well-organized and able to prioritize between many different tasks.
• Desire to excel and grow within and with the company.
• Ability to work both independently as well as with a team.
• Constructive and positive attitude with a great sense of humor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science and/or equivalent level of experience.
• 1 year legal and/or contract management experience.
