**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INGENIUM TEACHER**
- Observe punctuality at all times for school, classes, and activities, as well as in the submission of requirements.
- For school, classes and activities: making sure to be in school or the classroom before the designated time for morning assemblies as well as class and other assignments;
- On submission of requirements: make sure that Subject Matter Outlines, Unit Plans and Lesson Plans, and student grades are submitted on or before their due dates.
- Communicate with supervisors and/or co-teachers, both informally and formally through verbal and Incident Reports, respectively, relevant academic and behavioral concerns regarding their students; and coordinate with the Guidance Office, Clinic, Prefect of Discipline, Student Support Coordinator, and parents regarding the need for support for at-risk students.
- Communicate clearly, and in a specific and timely manner, to co-teachers, supervisors and parents, schedules of activities and performance standards for his/her students.
- Effectively manage the students in his/her class to optimize learning from each and every one of them; this includes maintaining discipline among his/ her students inside and outside the classroom, counseling and advising students as needed and appropriate, and adequately addressing the needs of students having difficulty in coping with school or academic work.
- Prepare his/her students to participate in school wide activities and projects;
- Together with other teachers or on his/her own, undertake projects, field trips or other activities that extend the lessons and make them memorable and meaningful for her/his students;
- Participate actively in school ad hoc committees that may be formed for school-wide events and/or to meet administrative requirements;
- Keep his/her assigned classroom attractive, neat and orderly;
- Help preserve the cleanliness and orderliness of premises by using appropriate facilities like classroom bulletin boards-- not chalkboards, walls or doors-- for posting materials; help maintain discipline and order among the students, parents and guardians participating in or attending school events;
- Keep in good order books and other materials or equipment assigned to him/her or borrowed by him/her, ensuring that his/her borrowing or use of such is duly recorded, and returning them to the unit from which they were borrowed at the designated time of return;
- Observe proper decorum and uphold his/her integrity in everyday transactions with students, parents, co-workers, the School, and the community; this includes dressing and conducting himself/herself in a professional manner befitting his/her role as teacher and role model for the students of Ingenium.
- Model to students Ingenium's core values of CIVITAS, SAPIENTIA, and CARITAS, as well as its striving for excellence in all aspects of education, learning, and character formation.
- Undertake other tasks that may reasonably be assigned to him/her by the School President and Director.
