The Back Room Offshoring Inc., a leading company in the accounting industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring our adherence to regulatory and legal requirements to one of New Zealand Clients. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and make recommendations for improvement Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and ensure the company's policies align with the latest requirements Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of compliance and provide guidance and training on compliance matters Investigate any reported compliance violations and recommend necessary actions to resolve the issues Manage compliance documentation, including filing and record keeping Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Proven work experience as a Compliance Specialist or similar role with New Zealand clients.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Familiarity with compliance software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse stakeholders
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
