About the role

Join the Rural Bank of Pilar Sorsogon, Inc. (RBPI) team as a Compliance Specialist. This is a full-time role based in Pilar, Sorsogon, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the bank's operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement compliance programs to identify, monitor, and mitigate regulatory risks
Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls
Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters
Serve as the bank's main point of contact for regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of compliance standards
Stay up-to-date with changes in banking regulations and industry best practices
Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting on compliance activities
What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
2+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit within the banking industry
Thorough understanding of banking regulations, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently to meet deadlines
