The Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that the Company's policies and practices are in line with regulatory and ethical standards. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical knowledge and analytical skills for identifying compliance issues and providing recommendations for resolution. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at a time is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Corporate Secretary and the company lawyer/s to ensure that transactions are supported by corporate and legal documents;Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and lawyers on issues related to tax and compliance;Review and provide advice to the business upon request on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business;Keep the senior management informed of any changes in laws and regulations that may affect the Company and take appropriate action if needed to ensure compliance;Identify and escalate (when necessary) potential compliance issues and provide sound recommendations for resolution and/or process improvement;Monitor the timely submission of statutory reports and other requirements;Maintain a database of corporate documents;Ensure that the Company is up to date with its licensing requirements.
General:
Proactively identify and resolve issues and respond to internal customer escalations;Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting controls;Maintain a high degree of discretion when treating sensitive or confidential information;Identify and recommend opportunities for policy and process improvements;Participate in special projects as necessary;Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any business course;Must have at least 2-3 years of experience;Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office applications;Must have extensive knowledge on taxes and statutory reporting requirements;Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative to set priorities and see projects through to completion;A team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions;Must have strong organizational skills.
