Compliance Officer

Job Purpose: Responsible for the effective implementation of the compliance system. Responsible for the implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering system in the Bank including the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLPP). Oversee implementation of the compliance system, and likewise the identification, monitoring, and control of compliance and business risks. Responsibilities: Reports to the Compliance Monitoring Officer (CMO)/AML Officer all significant compliance issues requiring immediate corrective action. Conducts compliance testing and Self-Assessment of Regulatory Compliance Exercise through Operating Unit Heads. Conducts random compliance test checks based on approved Compliance Program with emphasis on "High" and "Medium" residual risk assessment including AML tests. Acts as alternate attendee during product proposals, internal policies and procedures, and system changes for regulatory consistency on a consultative capacity. Assists the CMO in updating the Compliance Manual and with the Corporate Governance Manual. Assists the AML Officer in updating the MLPP. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all documentary submissions to the BSP. Disseminates new laws, rules, and regulations upon receipt from appropriate regulatory bodies. Ensures these are properly cascaded to concerned business units. Skills: Strong knowledge of regulatory policies as well as bank policies and procedures. With at least ONE (1) year related banking experience preferably in auditing or compliance work. Job Type: Full-time
