Compliance Counsel & Data Privacy Officer, LatAmThe Compliance Counsel will report to the Head of Legal of Latin America and play a key role in compliance within Philips Latam. This includes setting up an effective compliance program, deploying and managing compliance programs and training from Philips Global, assisting in the reporting and investigation process and follow-up actions. Regarding Privacy, you will be responsible for deploying privacy policies, providing advice, and coordinating the execution of Privacy Impact Assessments.
Your role: You will play a key role in implementing and managing compliance programs across Latin America, ensuring that Philips Latam adheres to regulatory requirements and industry standards.Reporting to the Head of Legal for Latin America, you will coordinate compliance investigations, manage training, and provide legal advice to mitigate risks.You'll monitor compliance processes, ensure internal controls are maintained, risks are identified, and proper investigations are conducted on time.Collaborate with fellow legal team members to design and deliver compliance training, as well as actively participate in relevant review and approval systems.Regularly report on compliance results, ensure timely follow-up on investigations, and maintain the highest standards of legal ethics and integrity.You're the right fit if: You've acquired 8+ years of experience in compliance roles, ideally with a background in investigations and forensic data analysis.You have a bachelor's degree in law and possess strong professional ethics and personal integrity.Your skills include strong knowledge of Data Protection, Anti-bribery, Fraud, Competition regulations, and other relevant compliance areas.Proficiency in English is required; Intermediate Spanish is required, and Portuguese is a plus.You're an effective communicator, able to deliver both positive and difficult messages clearly, and you can work independently with regular consultation from leadership.You can work independently and very well with the legal team.Experience in companies that work with government and/or in the healthcare sector is a plus.How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
