Position Title: Compensation and Benefits Assistant
Job Summary: Processes employee's benefits (retirement, separation, leave conversion, maternity, sickness, etc.), compensation of junior officers and staff, and remittance of monthly contributions of both employer and employees to Philippine Health Insurance Corp (Philhealth), Social Security System (SSS) and National Home Development Mutual Fund (NHDMF); Prepares schedule of car plan for submission to Data Warehouse Division and schedules for annual income tax of all employees and their individual BIR Form 2316 (Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld) Ensures proper documentation of records, and reports based on the time prescribed by law or government agencies (such as BIR, SSS, PHIC, NHDMF) and to facilitate tracing such files in the future. Role Exposure: Processes regular payroll (which are released every 12th and 27th of the month) and bonuses and other benefits (leave conversion, profit sharing, regular bonuses, tellers' incentives, medical and clothing allowance) of junior officers and staff including the preparation of input sheet and data encoded in the payroll system. Computes and processes request for payment of retirement/separation benefits of retired/separated junior officers and staff. Prepares reimbursable allowances schedules due to junior officers before uploading to the payroll system. Computes maternity and sickness benefits of junior officers and staff. Computes and evaluates loan amount and corresponding credit ratio for junior officers and staff (housing loan, car and multi-purpose loan under Provident plan, financial assistance loan, car plan and other loans to subsidiaries and creditors with approved Memorandum of Agreement with the Bank) Administers remittance of monthly contributions to SSS, Philhealth and National Home Development Mutual Fund. Administers remittance of various loan amortizations to Metrobank, Trust Banking Group and Subsidiaries. Administers transmission of monthly contributions to SSS and NHDMF and quarterly contributions to Philhealth. Transmit the monthly contributions to SSS via EDINET. Prepares certification of SSS, Philhealth and PagIbig contributions being issued to employees. Prepares certification of employment with compensation being issued to Junior Officers and Staff. Inputs monthly provident fund contributions of member employees to the provident fund system. Prepares monthly car plan schedule for submission to Data Warehouse Division. Administers reconciliation of A/R – SSS Maternity and Sickness Benefits and assist in the monitoring of accounts. Assists in the preparation of annual income tax withheld from employees against the yearly report to be submitted to BIR (Alphabetical List of Employees from Whom Taxes are Withheld). Prepares BIR Form 2316 (Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld) all employees. Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time. Inputs substantially to the Department's plans that will allow the unit to accomplish the tasks assigned to it Helps coordinate with other divisions of the Group as well as other units of the Bank to identify needed operational risk models & analyses Extends strong technical support to the design, structure, construction, review, adjustment, &/or implementation of operational risk models, and frameworks/guidelines Helps inform on the requisite capital allocation corresponding to operational risks, consistent with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas requirements & Bank for International Settlements pronouncements Suggests approaches & methods appropriate to tasks at hand Performs model monitoring and limited validation of risk models developed outside of the department Helps manage project-related processes within the Group Lends technical assistance to the other divisions of the Group Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related course At least 1-2 years working experience in the accounting field Patient and hardworking Other Details: Rank: Rank and File
