Job Summary: The Company Nurse will be responsible for providing basic healthcare services to employees, managing health and safety protocols, and promoting wellness within the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Healthcare Services: Provide immediate care for illness or injury to employees during working hours. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Perform routine health checks and monitor vital signs. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of employees. Health and Safety Management: Conduct regular health and safety audits in the workplace. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures. Coordinate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with local health regulations and company policies. Manage the inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Employee Wellness Programs: Plan and implement wellness programs to promote healthy lifestyles among employees. Organize health seminars, workshops, and vaccination drives. Provide health education and counseling on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and ergonomics. Emergency Response: Act as the first responder in medical emergencies. Provide first aid and CPR as needed. Coordinate with local emergency services when necessary. Health Screening and Documentation: Conduct pre-employment health assessments and periodic health evaluations. Prepare and submit health-related reports and documentation to relevant authorities. Collaboration and Training: Work closely with the HR department to address employee health concerns. Provide training and orientation on health and safety practices to new hires. Support HR in managing employee leave related to health issues. Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an occupational health setting. Skills: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in using medical and office software. Knowledge of local health and safety regulations. Additional Requirements: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergencies as they arise. A proactive approach to employee wellness and health promotion.
