Company Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Company Driver who can not only provide efficient and safe transportation services but also possess the technical knowledge to maintain and fix minor issues that may arise with the company vehicle. The ideal candidate will ensure the vehicle is in excellent working condition, ensuring timely and safe transportation for company personnel and goods.

Driving Duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport personnel, goods, and materials to and from specified locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a high standard of driving etiquette.
- Plan routes to ensure timely arrival and departure.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, goods, and other materials.

Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and lights.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.

Technical Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with professional mechanics for more complex repairs.
- Maintain a log of all repairs and maintenance performed on the vehicle.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Report any vehicle damage or issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is up to date, including vehicle insurance, registration, and inspection certificates.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding vehicle use.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and cargo at all times.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or potential risks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Professional Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a driver; experience in a similar role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and the ability to perform minor repairs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
Physical ability to load and unload heavy items.
