Be a part of the EDC Team!- Collaborates with different agencies, local government units, non-government organizations, educational, business and financial institutions, and community organizations to establish institutional arrangements, to expand needed resources, and to maintain harmonious relations.- Before any related land use or resource exploration activities are built, installed, or run, it provides technical assistance and input to all forestry-related permitting and registration requirements of the establishment.-
- Ensure complete adherence to all forestry permit requirements, including but not limited to the following: FLAg 01-2013 boundary demarcation, FLAg 01-2013 signage installation, FLAg 01-2013 CDMP approval, NNGP BZ quarterly report submission, Conduct of biodiversity monitoring for NNGP and SNGP- Implements CSR Banner Programs in a timely and orderly manner in coordination with CSR HO, other Site CSR Teams and other external stakeholders to promote sustainable development, address negative social impacts and perceptions, as well as to enhance positive impacts and programs.- Formulates, implements, enhances the implementation of, monitors, and evaluates the watershed programs and projects to ensure full regulatory compliance with all watershed-related and forestry laws and regulations, sustainable management and protection of the surrounding environment and harmonious co-existence with other key watershed stakeholders, and established reputation on good environmental stewardship.
He/She must be involved in at least four of the following major watershed management plans/programs/activities anchored on existing agreement / contracts with the government, while adhering to section's objectives, targets, and programs to ensure adequate protection of natural resources and sustain business operations: Biodiversity Conservation and Monitoring, Upland community managemen, Forest restoration of denuded and degraded lands within the Palinpinon Geothermal Reservation covering 133,000 hectares, Northern Negros Geothermal Project Geothermal Renewable Energy Service Contract, target areas for growth projects in Negros Island, and other selected areas deemed necessary through BINHI program and other available instrumentalities Regulatory compliance to applicable watershed and forestry-related laws and regulations and other covenants; Watershed planning, database management, monitoring and evaluation using GIS or other related technologies Special studies and assignments that maybe assigned by the Corporate Relations Head- Engages the cooperatives, organizations, and farmers in watershed-related programs/projects (e.g., forest restoration, forest protection) and strengthening their organizational structure and capacity to allow them to be responsive to the new programs and thrusts of the Company, as well as to strengthen the social fence within the business unit's area of responsibility-
- Liaises with local DENR agencies (CENRO, PENRO, Regional Offices) relative to the forestry, biodiversity, and land management programs and activities, and other DENR requirements-
- Participates in and/or represents the company in stakeholder meetings, conferences, summit, negotiations and other occasions to ensure regular visibility and maintain harmonious relations-
- Develops and conducts IEC about the watershed management programs to partners and pertinent stakeholders within the assigned area in order to raise awareness, form partnerships, and win support from stakeholders and the community.- Whenever necessary, process crop damage payments.- Make sure the internal database is up to date, including but not limited to the ff: EMD database for NNGP and SNGP, Forestry Permits and Compliance database and Grievance database
