Job Summary As a Collection Turnover QA Specialist, your role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of collection turnover processes within the healthcare revenue cycle. You will play a critical role in conducting quality assurance checks, analyzing turnover trends, and implementing strategies to optimize collection turnover and maximize revenue recovery for healthcare services provided. Essential Functions And Tasks Quality Assurance: Perform comprehensive quality assurance checks on collection turnover processes, including the transition of accounts from early-stage collections to secondary collections or external agencies. Review collection turnover data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards. Verify the effectiveness of collection strategies employed and ensure proper documentation of collection efforts. Turnover Analysis: Analyze turnover trends and patterns to identify root causes of turnover and areas for improvement in revenue cycle processes. Categorize turnover accounts by reason for turnover, payer, and aging status to develop targeted strategies for optimizing collection turnover rates and increasing revenue recovery. Generate reports and dashboards to present turnover analysis findings, trends, and actionable insights to stakeholders and management. Collections Strategy: Collaborate with revenue cycle management teams to develop and implement collections strategies for maximizing revenue recovery and minimizing bad debt write-offs. Evaluate existing collections workflows and procedures to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow optimizations to streamline collection turnover processes. Training and Education: Provide training and support to staff members involved in collection turnover processes to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Develop training materials, documentation, and resources to facilitate ongoing education and skill development in collection turnover and quality assurance. Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree or related field (preferred). Minimum 4 years+ proven experience in accounts receivable, revenue cycle management collections, or billing roles. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, collections strategies, and insurance reimbursement mechanisms. Proficiency in using healthcare revenue cycle management software and collections management tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of turnover and implement targeted solutions.
