The Systems Engineer Cloud works in the Global Technology team and is responsible for Build, design, deploy, maintain and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple public cloud offerings, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. interface with business units, architects, project managers and subject matter experts to understand and evaluate/translate business requirements into technical solutions. Cloud system engineer provides technical leadership to the design, development, testing and implementation of cloud solutions with AWS or Azure to ensure consistent design across the enterprise. Essential Responsibilities: Build, design, deploy, maintain, and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple public cloud offerings, e.g., AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required. Translates customer requirement definitions into technical service engineering deliverables including high-level as well as detailed low-level design documentation, Bills of Material, cost model updates, etc. Designs new Cloud Infrastructure and Compute services starting with business analysis through translation of business requirements into low-level design, engineering, testing, documentation of the new service and support of deployment. Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities. Help implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption. Participate and assist in setting the long-term direction, roadmaps and standards for technical solutions, ensuring they align to the overall enterprise architecture. Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices. Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools. Adhere to firm Change Management, Problem Management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations. Support of all Cloud Infrastructure, and on-Prem virtualized environment according to organizational standards and best practicesCommunicate in both technical and non-technical capacities.Participate in on-call responsibilities in support of a 24 x 7 production environment Specific Skills and Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, including deployment automation tools. 5+ years of experience with Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop, Network. 2+ years of experience with legacy system engineering assessments, discovering the build and details surrounding the system in order to re-build it in a new hosted environment. Proficiencies in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including VPC, EC2, Network, ELB, EBS, EMR, RDS, and IAM Basic knowledge of server infrastructure, virtualization, and Cloud computing Additional Requirements: Fluent in English: Written, Verbal, ComprehensionExcellent oral and written communication skills especially the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse user base having varied levels of technical proficienciesSelf-motivated with the ability and maturity to be effective & productive in the absence of detailed instructions. Able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams across geography and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure with minimal guidance. Demonstrated self-starter and resourceful individual, with experience working in fast paced and dynamic operational settings.Strong teamwork and knowledge sharing skills Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or related experience Certifications on Cloud Services, may include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS or Azure Solutions Architect At least 5 years of experience with server virtualization At least 5 years of experience with any of the following technologies: AWS, VMWare, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
