We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer who has working experience in handling CI/CD Technology.
As part of your responsibilities, you are to enable and empower users of the platform by helping them abstract infrastructure, platform, and pipeline issues.
You are also expected to fulfill internal projects that improve the platform's overall tech debt.
Your Role
Identify, troubleshoot, resolve or escalate incidents quickly and effectively.
Be responsible for monitoring and maintaining platform's overall operational status.
Help and assist in the investigation and resolution of platform's end user problems.
Develop tools, enhance operational processes, and provide automated solutions that enables better platform administration and support.
Performs root cause analysis.
identify and resolve underlying problem patterns, while driving to develop automated and self-healing solutions.
Participate, engage, and help in the resolution of outages in/through conference calls.
Write clear and consumable documentation of the environment, operational procedures and project specific tasks.
The role requires 8-hour rotating shift on a 24x7 coverage.
Your Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years working in a DevOps environment including solid experience in Build Tools and Processes.
At least 2 years
experience in Continuous Integration technologies such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar tools.Well-versed in Build Tools such as Maven and Gradle.
Proficient in distributed versioning systems and artifact management such as GIT, Artifactory with familiarity on best practices and approach.
Knowledgeable in containerization technologies such as Docker, including its architecture, design and operations.
Bachelor's degree or higher education.
Amenable to work in a shifting schedule on a 24x7 environment.
Plus Points
Has a good understanding of security implementation and practices.
Unit Testing experience is a plus.
Relevant certifications in the Key Qualifications.
Familiarity with distributed systems is a plus including:
the CAP Theorem, Microservices, and the Twelve Factor App
Experience in Hybrid and Multi Cloud implementations is an advantage.
Software Development Experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work through complex engineering challenges/obstacles
Experience in dealing with customer issues with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for eliminating repetitive manual processes using automation.
Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity demonstrated through clear communication
