The Civil QC Superintendent will primarily work on-site during construction, representing Jacobs as the Engineer's Representative. In this role, you'll be the QC consultants site representative as primary contact for technical queries from multi-disciplinary construction contractors during project execution for our resource clients. Collaborating with Project Manager and Construction Managers, your focus will be on ensuring technical queries are resolved expediently so projects remain on time and meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with Jacobs QC team to provide timely responses to technical queries and site clarification requests whilst ensuring design intent is not compromised.Work closely with construction contractors (not Jacobs) to ensure timely project completion in full compliance with design intent.Leverage your expertise in civil/structural disciplines.Manage and approve installations at pre-approved witness and hold points.Work closely with Project Managers and Discipline Engineers to ensure construction contractors adhere to design requirements.Direct technical issues and queries to the relevant discipline engineer.Successfully interface with Jacobs' virtual teaming groups.Attend key client meetings to understand and develop relationships, aiming to become a trusted advisor in the sector.Meet deliverables while effectively allocating time.Facilitate the technical development of junior team members to meet market requirements.Perform and supervise inspections, tests, and evaluations of civil works, including foundations, structures, and site preparations.Document inspection and testing results, and prepare detailed reports.Review site documents such as technical design and related construction drawings.Able to discuss and resolve technical issues observed with the contractors.Minimum Requirements:
Preferably hold a Civil engineering qualification or any other related field.Preferable with Solar and/or BESS construction experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in QC or QA roles, preferably in the renewable energy sector.Demonstrated track record of successfully managing construction projects.Familiarity with international and local engineering and construction methods, applicable codes, and specifications related to Renewable Energy Sector.Willingness to be assigned onsite on a project basis.
