Construction Estimator (Bluebeam Experience)

Job Description: The Estimator will be responsible for supporting the estimating and project management teams by accurately preparing cost estimates and performing administrative tasks related to construction projects.
This role will require a strong knowledge of Bluebeam software for plan takeoffs, project coordination, and document management.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in construction estimating, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
Utilize Bluebeam for plan takeoffs and measurements, managing digital drawings and ensuring accuracy.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain accurate quotes and information.
Assist in managing project timelines, ensuring that estimates and materials are aligned with project schedules.
Review and analyze construction plans, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Organize and maintain construction project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
Prepare reports and assist with bid proposals for new projects.
Support the project management team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, tracking budgets, and managing project files.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and report any discrepancies or potential delays to the relevant teams.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with familiarity in both commercial and residential projects.
At least with 1-2 years of Australian experience
Proficiency in using Bluebeam for digital plan takeoffs, measuring, and document management.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and project timelines.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Solid understanding of construction terminology, techniques, and processes.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction management software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with clients and subcontractors.
High attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
Knowledge of Australian construction codes and regulations (if applicable).
A degree or certification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is a plus.
