PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Civil Design Engineer is to development of detailed designs, plans, and specifications for a diverse range of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to roads, bridges, drainage systems, sewer, water systems, and infrastructure. Utilizing advanced software tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, the Civil Engineer conducts meticulous structural analysis to ensure designs exceed safety, performance, and durability requirements. Conducting thorough site investigations and surveys to assess project feasibility and gather essential data, while also performing design analysis and calculations to determine the integrity and stability of proposed designs.

Performing design analysis and calculations to determine the integrity and stability of proposed designs.
Collaborating closely with the estimation team to create detailed specifications and precise cost estimates, contributing to project development and conceptual discussions.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and environmental specialists, to seamlessly integrate various design elements.
Effectively communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address concerns and ensure that project requirements are met in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
Overseeing and ensuring the integrity of all engineering designs and specifications across various projects, maintaining consistency and adherence to standards.
Addressing any deviations or discrepancies promptly and implementing corrective measures as necessary to ensure project success.
Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to civil engineering, and applying this knowledge to project work.
Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time to support the overall success of the organization.
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER:
Licensed Civil Engineer demonstrating proficiency and adherence to professional standards and ethics.
Experience in handling civil engineering projects such roads, bridges, drainage systems, sewer, water systems, and infrastructure.
Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Civil Works Design Engineer. Reporting directly to the Senior Civil Works Design Engineer and the Civil Works Department Manager.
Demonstrate proficiency and comprehensive understanding of all relevant engineering codes and standards, ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations.
Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing industry-standard software tools Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Knowledge with other design software is a plus.
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision, while effectively contributing to a diverse array of design projects.
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to tackle complex engineering challenges. Adept at identifying issues, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions.
Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts effectively to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting, is desirable.
Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in design plans and specifications.
Capable of adapting design approaches to suit project requirements, optimizing solutions for cost-effectiveness, constructability, and performance.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities is crucial in this role.
