CHINESE TRANSLATOR

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating communication materials between Chinese, English and/or Filipino to ensure clear and accurate information exchange within the company.
The Chinese Translator will play a critical role in facilitating communication between teams, and partners verbal translation needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Translation and Localization: Accurately translate written content from Chinese to English, ensuring that translations are contextually accurate, culturally relevant, and aligned with the original message.
Collaboration and Communication Provide linguistic and cultural insight to the team, contributing to the creation of narrative drama series that resonates with English and Filipino speaking audiences.
Must also work closely with creative team to understand project requirements and audience needs for each drama series.
Research and Adaptation: Stay informed about creative and social media industry trends, terminology, and language usage, especially in specific fields like advertising, communications, and marketing.
Additional Qualifications:
Filipino – With Native-level fluency in Both English, Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional) both verbal and written
Must have strong understanding of cultural nuances and linguistic differences between Chinese English and Filipino
1 Year of Professional Translation experience ideally within a similar field (Communications, Advertising, Creative Industries)

NOTE: 25% of the time will be traveling to China
