CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. The CFO supervises the Treasury, Budget and Accounting Department and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO reports and directly assists the President and CEO on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission.Trains the Budget and Accounting staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.Participates in developing new business, specifically: assist the CEO and COO in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.Ensures adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits.Provides the CEO with an operating budget. Works with the CEO to ensure programmatic success through cost analysis support.Oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.Oversees all purchasing and payroll activity of the company.Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.Attends to Board meetings.Ensures adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.Oversees administration and financial reporting of the organization.Investigates cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals.Oversees the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management.Assists in the design, implementation, and timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions, and salaries for the staff. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Financial Management, Accounting or Business; preferably with post graduate degree in management (MBA).Must be CPA.At least 5 years of work experience as a CFO.Ability to understand and analyze financial statements.Ability to effectively present information in large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to effectively communicate professionally with guests, associates, supervisors, and others as required.Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to present company performance to the Chairman and Board of Directors.Good inter-personal skills that encourages openness and communication. SALARY RANGE: UP TO 400K
