The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the commercial strategy and development of Capital1 Solar Energy, including its Retail Electricity Supply arm. This entails overseeing sales, marketing, business development, and operations that support revenue growth. The CCO will be responsible for driving market expansion by leading efforts to secure Power Purchase Agreements and targeting a client base ranging from distribution utilities to contestable customers. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Strategy and Leadership Develop and execute the company's overall commercial strategy, focusing on growth in renewable energy markets and related services. Lead the formulation of business strategies that align with the company's long-term vision, financial goals, and sustainability objectives. Revenue Growth and Business Development Drive revenue growth through the development and execution of comprehensive business development and sales plans. Lead the company's efforts in negotiating high-value contracts such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and strategic partnerships. Oversee the identification and pursuit of renewable energy projects, working with project development teams to align commercial objectives. Sales and Marketing Direct and lead the sales and marketing teams to ensure they meet and exceed targets, with a focus on customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction. Ensure the effective positioning of the company's brand as a leader in renewable energy solutions. Oversee the development of key marketing campaigns, brand management efforts, and digital strategies that expand the company's presence and customer base. Operational Excellence Guide strategy and collaborate with the RES trading team to optimize energy procurement, demand forecasting, and supply chain management, ensuring cost-effective and reliable service to clients. Ensure seamless coordination between commercial functions and operations to enhance customer experience and service delivery. Develop performance metrics and operational risks, ensuring they align with the company's commercial goals and energy market trends. Client and Stakeholder Relationships Develop and nurture high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory agencies, corporate clients, and energy generators. Lead initiatives to enhance customer engagement, providing strategic solutions to meet the evolving needs of large energy consumers. Energy Procurement and Portfolio Management Develop and implement strategies for energy procurement by building relationships with renewable energy generators and suppliers to secure cost-effective and reliable power for clients. Provide insights to the Legal team in crafting competitive power purchase agreements for customers. Lead negotiations for energy supply agreements and Power Supply Contracts with independent power producers, ensuring favorable terms and aligning procurement with market conditions and customer demand. Team Leadership and Development Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the sales, marketing, and business development teams. Foster a culture of high performance and collaboration, ensuring the teams are motivated and equipped to achieve company goals. Develop talent within the commercial function through training, career development, and succession planning. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related fields. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably in the energy, renewable energy, or utilities sectors. Leadership: Proven experience leading large teams, driving revenue growth, and managing commercial operations at a senior level. Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the renewable energy market, electricity trading, and regulations in the Philippines. Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of closing complex deals. Excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute long-term business plans.
