Chemical Technician

Qualifications
-Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (B.S. Chem), Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B.S. ChE) or any related course.
-A combination of experience, education, and training equivalent to BSChE, BSChem, or any related course.
-Ability to independently plan and organize one's own activities.
-License as a Chemical Technician is an advantage

Job Specifications
-Performing laboratory chemical analysis of the test samples such as paint, cement, water, asphalt, soil, aggregate, zinc coating, and steel.
-Proper handling and storing of test samples and disposal of the tested sample.
-Ensure incoming samples are in good condition or comply with the standard specification.
-Prepares chemical reagents as needed in testing.
-Properly monitor, use, and store all chemical equipment and supplies.
-Perform routine equipment verification, maintenance, and environmental condition monitoring.
-Maintains a complete record of all chemical test data and submittals.
-Compute and submit the test result to the Section Head for checking.
-Responsible for orderliness, cleanliness, and securing the chemical area.
-Performs all duties of Officer of the Week whenever designated.
-Identify risks and report risks to the Section Head of the department. May also conduct risk assessment under the supervision of the Section Head.
-Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
