We are looking for a Chemical/Sanitary Engineer to join our team in SBFZ, Olongapo, where you will be responsible for managing water and sanitation projects, including environmental health management and water supply. This role involves project appraisal, design, and implementation, enabling you to contribute significantly to our sustainable water management solutions. You will also support critical infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities: Develop, design, and implement water and wastewater treatment processes, ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards to safeguard public health and the environment.Coordinate water quality sampling and testing, as well as the review of process control information for both water and wastewater treatment, ensuring that all results meet regulatory requirements.Conduct thorough assessments and troubleshoot operational issues in treatment plants to enhance performance and optimize system reliability and efficiency.Propose innovative solutions and best practices to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall effectiveness of water and wastewater management projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning, scope definition, and execution, including key decisions on process optimization and technology selection to meet project goals.Perform detailed technical analyses to evaluate process performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes that support environmental sustainability initiatives.Supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate technical employees, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions to ensure adherence to project requirements and applicable laws, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders.Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure that best practices are applied consistently across all projects.Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects associated with this position as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success. Qualifications: Degree in Chemical, Sanitary, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with a valid engineering license.4 to 7 years of proven experience in water and wastewater treatment engineering, with a strong understanding of treatment processes and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in industry-specific software and technologies (e.g., AutoCAD) and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to project challenges and stakeholder collaboration.Willingness to be based in Subic, Zambales, and travel to various local and international project sites, with an updated passport and driver's license.
