Job Description: As a CFO, you will be responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the organization's financial reporting. You will help establish and direct the organization's financial goals and objectives, its budget, and the Financial Plan. Your primary responsibility is ensuring that internal controls are in place, enforced, and reviewed periodically for conformance to accounting and financial standards and applicable regulations.
The CFO is the finance leader and chief financial strategist of a company. CFOs play a significant role in laying out the direction for a company's future and advising stakeholders on important business decisions. Chief Financial Officers identify business risks by looking at financial data and make appropriate decisions to mitigate those risks, among their many leadership functions.
The CFO and CEO collaborate to make a case, based on the CEO's vision and the CFO's data, to get company-wide buy-in for changes in direction and new ideas. It is the CFO's strategic leadership that steers the company in the right financial direction while holding departments that are tangential to the accounting and finance department accountable for the implementation and execution of the new direction.
Other responsibilities: Financial and tax reporting – ensuring the company meets its regulatory reporting and compliance obligations.Management and Board reporting – ensuring the company has high quality and insightful reporting to support governance and guide decision-making.Treasury management – ensuring the company's capital structure is optimized and cash flows are well-managed.Budgeting, forecasting, and planning – ensuring the company has good sight of forward performance to support governance and business planning.Commercial assessment – ensuring major opportunities and risks are assessed from a financial perspective to support management and Board decision-making.Management of the Finance team of senior accountant, accounts payable and accounts receivable team members.Ensures that processes needed for the financial management system are established, implemented, and maintained, and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors (or Advisory Board) on the performance of the financial management system and reports any need for its improvement.Is the main point of contact between the Company and the External Auditor and coordinates Company audit activities and responses.Oversee the HR Department, align business strategy with HR strategy, ensure compliance with the law and company policies.Oversee the IT Department, collaborate on technology decisions.Revenue Strategy Development - Formulating and implementing comprehensive revenue growth strategies to meet organizational goals.Sales Management - Leading and optimizing the sales team to drive revenue through effective sales processes and initiatives.Marketing Alignment - Ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with revenue targets, including demand generation and lead nurturing activities.Customer Success Oversight - Enhancing Customer retention and expansion through effective Customer success strategies and initiatives.Data-Driven Decision Making - Utilizing data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive revenue growth.Qualifications: 12+ years' experience in senior finance roles (strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in a North American manufacturing environment).Qualified Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent).Strong commercial orientation and strategic mindset.Ability to implement and manage ERP systems.Strategic Vision - Ability to develop and implement long-term revenue growth strategies.Leadership - Strong leadership skills to inspire and manage cross-functional teams effectively.Sales Expertise - Deep understanding of sales processes, techniques, and best practices.Marketing Acumen - Proficiency in aligning marketing strategies with revenue goals and understanding market trends.Analytical Skills - Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Customer-Centric Approach - Focus on enhancing Customer experience and retention.Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey strategies and collaborate with stakeholders.Financial Acumen - Strong understanding of financial metrics and ability to manage budgets and forecast revenue.Why join optiBPO? optiBPO is an exciting workplace where you will be surrounded by smart, talented, and motivated professionals that supports clients across Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Europe. optiBPO helps clients in planning, building, and managing dedicated offshoring teams in the Philippines.
