Central Clinical Psychologist And Neuropsychometrist

Details of the offer

About the position NCBI has 5 clinical centers (areas of specialization) within the institute that services patients across the life span from our early neurodevelopmental disorders program starting at 18 months of age through our neurodegenerative diseases center, which includes mostly geriatric patients. We have had a Patient Service Center in the Philippines since 2007 that employs approximately 50 employees.

We are seeking clinical psychologists and neuropsychometrists or applicants who have a Master's degree in a Clinical Neuroscience-related field and at least 2 years of experience in Psychological Testing.

We have 3 openings in clinical psychology and neuropsychometry. All positions require developing professional relationships with our patients and data management duties managing our clinical and research data. Some positions are oriented more toward testing, scoring and report building, while others are more focused on performing intakes and initial psychiatric and neurobehavioral exams. The position requires working in a virtual clinic serving patients receiving diagnostic services at one of NCBI clinics in the United States and with our telehealth patients located throughout the United States. Clinical hours need to overlap by about 70 to 100% with US business hours.

Our Central Clinical Psychologists work directly under a Supervising Clinical Neuropsychologist. They generally perform 2 sets of neurodiagnostic services:

Intake and initial exams as well as specialty exams Neuropsychological testing Sometimes these duties are blended, but generally, the clinical psychologist on staff at NCBI has a primary role in one or the other category of duties.

Intakes are biopsychosocial histories of newly registered patients. These clinicians are also responsible for performing initial neuropsychiatric and neurobehavioral exams. In addition, some central clinical psychologists administer neuropsychological testing online to patients and/or their family members (informants), while others only do neuropsychological testing. They are also responsible for scoring and/or extracting the test data and preparing the test scoring sheet for analysis and preparing the AI-assisted interpretation report which is performed by the supervising clinical neuropsychologist.

We have our own neuropsychometry training program and we support 3rd party certifications in this area of training. Our neuropsychometrists and clinical psychologists are trained in the standardized administration of neuropsychological tests with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a variety of cognitive, neurobehavioral, and neuropsychiatric disorders. We use a variety of neuropsychological test batteries. Our patients are tested both outside and during brain mapping.

Our technicians work within a team that consists of other neurodiagnostic technicians, mental health clinicians, clinical neuropsychologists, and neurologists as well as other clinicians and researchers. There are many opportunities for career advancement based on the skill set and drives of our employees. Employees learn multiple procedures and vastly expand their knowledge in clinical and cognitive neuroscience. We offer a very good salary, bonuses, and excellent benefits.

Qualifications At least a Bachelor's for Neuropsychometrists, or a Master's level Clinical Psychologist with at least 1-2 years of experience performing clinical work such as neuropsychological testing or other neurodiagnostic procedures.

Please do not apply for this position unless you meet or surpass these qualifications. We can only respond to those candidates who meet the basic requirements outlined above.
