Salary & Benefits: 35,000 to 40,000 monthly depending on experience and qualifications20 Paid Vacation Days - Received in First Year - AccruedJob Description: Category Manager - Pharma is to strategically manage the procurement, merchandising, and overall performance of pharmaceutical products, including branded medicines, generic medicines and specialized medicines like (Oncology Products, Vaccines). This role focuses on optimizing profitability, driving sales growth, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, and enhancing revenue through effective category management.
Responsibilities: Profitability ManagementOptimize the product mix to maximize profitabilityImplement strategic pricing based on market analysisNegotiate favorable terms with suppliers and principals to improve marginsAnalyze market trends to inform product selection and pricingImplement promotional strategies to boost salesEngage with customers and stakeholders to drive category growthStrategic Planning and Performance AssessmentConduct regular business reviews to assess category performanceDevelop strategic plans based on review outcomesEnsure timely and thorough completion of all scheduled reviewsCost Management and Supplier IncentivesManage supplier relationships to secure favorable rebate termsTrack and maximize rebate opportunitiesEnsure compliance with rebates agreementsCost Efficiency and Supplier PerformanceEnsure compliance with trading terms agreementsRegularly review and monitor TTA ComplianceAddress any compliance issues promptlyIdentify additional revenue opportunities such as listing fee, vendor fee, new product presentation, dsap, and anniversariesNegotiate terms with suppliers to secure these income streamsTrack and report additional income sourcesGeneral DutiesCategory Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals and objectivesSupplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and availability. Implement demand forecasting and inventory optimization techniques.Performance Monitoring: Regularly track and report on KPIs. Use data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support for category initiativesCompliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance and inventory management.Qualifications: JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelors' degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy or related fieldThe role primarily involves working in an office environment.
