As "Category Buyer", you are a professional in the field of procurement and supply chain management. Your primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the procurement of goods and services for a defined set of commodities and to support the Category Manager in implementing the category sourcing strategy.
This role involves various tasks and responsibilities, including contract management, market research, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, vendor relationship management (VRM), performance monitoring (KPI), cost management, and so on. Your role: Prepare and follow-up on price requests for spot buys (within thresholds) Create Purchase Orders within the levels of Authority based upon approved purchase requisitions Support project procurement in PO and/or invoicing issues Support the Category Manager in implementing the category sourcing strategy by providing support in: Seeking opportunities for synergies and improved used of the agreements Preparation and follow-up of price requests for spot buys Evaluation of received offers Preparation for contract negotiations Liaise with other departments and internal stakeholders Follow-up on Master data issues/questions Correct and timely archiving of contracts Timely contract renewals Follow-up on supplier performance and defined supplier improvement actions Your profile and experiences: You hold a master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Naval, Construction, Industrial or similar) Relevant experience in Procurement Excellent analytical capabilities and presentation skills (efficient usage of MS Office Excel and Powerpoint) Effective communication skills in English, knowledge of Dutch & other languages is an asset; Soft skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, Team builder, Team player, positive attitude, hands-on mentality, accuracy, drive for ownership and results and high level of integrity Motivation to work in a growing dynamic and international environment; Our offering: An extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balance; A permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally; A stimulating, innovative workplace with numerous growth opportunities; A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
