The Restobar Cashier Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests. This role combines the responsibilities of a cashier with the leadership skills needed to manage a team and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Team Management & Development:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of all cashiers, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for career advancement.
Implement effective training programs to enhance cashier skills and knowledge, including POS system operation, customer service best practices, and cash handling procedures.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the cashier area, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Monitor and manage expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to the department's profitability.
Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the cashier area.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with POS systems, ensuring their efficient operation.
Customer Service:
Champion a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers have a positive and efficient checkout experience.
Train and coach cashiers on best practices for customer interaction, order processing, issue resolution, and complaint handling.
Monitor customer satisfaction, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Inventory & Loss Prevention:
Ensure accurate inventory management within the cashier area, including monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
Implement and enforce loss prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other members of the restobar team, including managers, servers, and bartenders, to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
Communicate effectively with staff and management to address issues, share information, and ensure everyone is working towards common goals.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead cashier role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including POS system operation, cash handling procedures, and customer service best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive customer experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
