Buyer I

The Buyer I is responsible for sourcing and procurement of supplies, equipment and service for all requestors and related functions located in healthcare facilities in the United States.
The position is accountable for processing purchase orders, confirming appropriate approval, and following up on open purchase orders and vendor discrepancies.
The Buyer I ensures accuracy of purchase and vendor/supply data while complying with Tenet and healthcare-specific policies, including maintaining logging, filing, and source documents.
The position routinely communicates upstream and downstream with suppliers and customers, respectively, to validate the information and finalize business transactions.
The position performs follow-up and expediting of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery

**Bachelors degree in on of the follow areas**: business, supply chain, materials management or other related courses.
At least 1 year of buyer / purchasing experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must be ammenable to work onsite and on a night shift work schedule
