As a Business Unit Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the CGI Philippines Academy. Your primary responsibility will be to consolidate all common sub-business unit learning programs into a centralized academy. You will create, facilitate, and manage the academy's contents and learning programs to ensure their overall success. Working closely with Learning and Development (L&D), Human Resources (HR), and business stakeholders, you will support ongoing skills development within the Business Unit and address skill gaps through tailored learning initiatives.
Future Responsibilities and Duties:
• Establish and manage the CGI Philippines Academy, including creating and curating learning content.
• Manage end-to-end the near hire program, including:
o Facilitating learning programs and provide day-to-day functional direction to trainees.
o Designing and implementing program structure and content.
o Coordinating with hiring managers and HR to identify training needs.
o Overseeing the certification process of TESDA curriculum.
o Establishing partnerships with universities to incorporate CGI curriculum into their training programs.
• Take responsibility for the successful turnaround of trainees and throughput, ensuring:
o Monitoring of trainee progress and providing necessary support and developmental feedback.
o Implementing strategies for improving trainee performance and efficiency.
o Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address challenges and optimize outcomes.
• Track and report trend analysis of member learning activity, engagement, and learning impact to support a data-driven strategy.
• Utilize effective presentation and facilitation skills, incorporating creative training techniques and adult/accelerated learning techniques in both classroom and virtual environments.
• Prepare and present training materials through various learning modalities, including classroom learning, virtual environment, hands-on demonstrations, and supporting activities.
• Convey timely performance information to leaders throughout the training process/cycle and evaluate trainees' performance.
• Be accountable for achieving individual training performance metrics.
Qualifications, Career Experience, and Skills:
• Understanding of CGI business, processes, metrics, and key activities.
• Strong client engagement, performance consulting, and communication skills, especially with senior and executive leaders.
• Program and project management skills.
• Knowledge of Learning and Development (L&D) principles and practices, including familiarity with current trends, developments, techniques, methods, products, or vendors.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and data quality assurance.
• Instructional design experience and expertise in one or more L&D specialisms (e.g., leadership development).
• Ability to learn and be certified in future training programs (ex. ITIL, etc)
• Curriculum design skills using instructional design methodologies and leveraging technology.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Candidate Profile:
• Prior experience as a trainer, preferably with experience in onboarding and new hire training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to develop relationships effectively.
• Willing to work onsite (Taguig/Pasig PH Office)
