Business Development Specialist
The Role
The Business Development Specialist must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will have experience creating new partnerships and building relationships with new and existing partners. This role will serve as the main point-person for our customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and act as the bridge between our internal teams, partnerships and other external teams. The Business Development Specialist will develop new partnership strategies by working with internal and external teams to create, manage, and improve new and existing partnerships.
The Business Development Specialist will report to the Business Development Manager.
Business Development Specialist Tasks
Manage relationships with customers and vendors to build the brand and the business.Manage existing partnerships and seek out prospective partners.Champion and manage new projects to create stronger partnerships.Negotiate contracts with strategic partners.Attend meetings to serve as representatives of their organizations.Identify opportunities for new partnerships.Build the organizational network by through targeted outreach and strong project planning.Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs and create synergy.Project manage partnership operations with cross-functional teams to create, manage, and improve upon processesAnalyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in business, administration/management, communications, or a related field.1-2+ years experience in partnershipsAbility to foster professional relationships with external partnersAbility to work in a team environment, and demonstrate leadership skillsOrganizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are also beneficial
