Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager/Director, the Business Development Officer is expected to possess an appreciation and understanding of the Communications industry as well as the various trends that define its landscape locally and globally.
He/she will be expected to master EON's brand story, expertise, and strategic process in order to generate local and international business leads and develop strategic communication proposals that can grow the EON Group portfolio.
**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**LEADS GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT**
- Identifies and manages business leads generated through EON's website, public biddings, and referrals from EON's network, partners, and the EON team
- Supports the Business Development Director in representing EON in select client and industry engagements to expand the company's network and knowledge
- Monitors all leads regularly and generates insights on business and industry trends
**CLIENT RELATIONS AND INFORMATION CASCADE**
- Researches about a brand or project prior to scheduled meetings and presentations and submits output to Business Development Director
- Masters and presents EON Group's credentials and answers client queries as necessary
- Participates in client briefings and gathers from client the necessary information to develop and complete project briefs for the reference of the servicing teams
- Cascades all information provided by client and shares initial industry and brand research on hand to the business development and servicing teams
- Corresponds with clients for further clarifications and requirements necessary to proceed with the proposal development
**PROPOSAL AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT**
- Conducts industry and brand research to be able to generate insights for the communication strategy
- Works with concerned business unit heads to gather required data for pitch requirements
- Actively supports the formation of strategic proposals, including the research, insighting, strategy, and tactical plan, in collaboration with concerned business units
- Develops the costing for the proposed engagement, together with the business units and finance officers
- Submits and presents approved final proposals to clients
- Monitors its status and closely coordinates with client on further requirements to be submitted
**CONTRACT FINALIZATION AND ACCOUNT TRANSITION**
- Documents all agreements between the agency and the client in a contract, scope of work, and third party costs and secure signatures from concerned parties
- Provides copies of above mentioned documents to the client servicing team and Finance team for proper filing
- Introduces the assigned client servicing team to the clients for proper transition
**BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT**
- Keeps updated with communication landscape and develops new business solutions or services that can be added to the company's suite of services
- Works with the Corporate Development Team in developing and updating the company's strategic profile to respond to market needs and in sustaining positive visibility with target market to sustain industry leadership
- Monitors and analyzes leads sources, quality of proposals, and post-engagement initiatives and strengthen best practices for each step
**KNOWLEDGE AND DATA MANAGEMENT**
- Organizes and properly file Business Development-related documents for future reference in reports and pitch requirements
- Supports the tracking of the progress of Business Development pitches and ensures that applicable internal reports and presentations are regularly updated for team's reference
