As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Liminal, you will be instrumental in growing our research business by identifying, engaging, and conducting outreach with high-priority research contacts for analyst briefings. You will initiate outreach efforts, set up client analyst briefings, and manage the early stages of the sales process. This role will work directly with our research, market intelligence, and sales teams. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can communicate effectively and contribute to our mission of advancing digital identity, cybersecurity, and financial compliance sectors through research insights.
\n Client Outreach and EngagementGenerate outbound leads by identifying and contacting potential research contacts through email, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels.Build initial relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and introducing them to Liminal's research team.Coordinate and set up briefing sessions to engage potential clients and present Liminal's research value.Manage our analyst briefing survey collection process, including leading the hand-off with our Market Intelligence team.Coordinate a hand-off between our research and sales teams. Sales Process CoordinationQualify leads to ensure alignment with research team needs and facilitate a smooth transition into the sales pipeline.Assist in structuring the sales process for research clients by setting expectations, scheduling follow-ups, and tracking engagement. CRM and Data ManagementMaintain our CRM (HubSpot), keeping data current by updating contacts, adding new leads, and performing ongoing data quality checks.Ensure our CRM reflects the latest prospect interactions to optimize the outreach strategy and sales forecasting. Collaboration and Strategy DevelopmentPartner with the sales and marketing teams to develop tactics that enhance top-of-funnel demand for research offerings.Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends and client needs, contributing to Liminal's research strategies. QualificationsEducation: University degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Experience: 2+ years in a business development, sales development, or similar role, preferably in research or advisory services.CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools, preferably HubSpot.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to data accuracy within CRM systems.Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; interest or experience in digital identity, cybersecurity, or fintech is a plus.
