As a Business Development Manager - Internal Sales (Senior), you will:
Embody the 'Yes We Can' ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities.Generate new business and manage incoming leads to ensure the growth of the client.To maintain and foster relationships with existing customers, both local and national.Adhere to and implement all Client's procedures and policies.Grow the sales of Hospitality, Heaters, Industrial, and LPG markets.Maintain and defend clients' current customers from competitors with the utmost urgency.Being proactive in recognizing current and prospective customer needs.Support branch staff and sales team as required to obtain larger LPG, hospitality, and industrial customers.Maintain market awareness at all times and represent clients in a positive and professional manner, recognizing the key role you have as primary contact between the customers and the companyWork in a team environment and work together to maximize the productivity of the team.Sales Tasks Achieve company and branch sales targets.Achieve internal sales KPIs.Manage multiple sales inboxes, managing leads/queries on a local level and delegating inquiries nationally.Manage the Capricorn nontrading list contacting potential new customers.Prepare and provide proposals to new and existing customers.Track sales metrics on a weekly quarterly and monthly basis.Proactively develop new business opportunities through research and cold calling via daily phone calls and email, adhering to cold calling KPIs and standards.Research for potential leads from business directories or digital resources.Contact prospective customers immediately and as requested.Follow up with all prospective customers as agreed by you with the customer.Support the external sales team and management.Maintain and update accurate notes in the CRM system as well as records according to necessity and instructions.Complete detailed monthly sales and activity reports. This includes new customers, prospective customers, cold calling and lead activity, competitor activity, and future activity.Promoting the benefits of Clients to customerEnsure customers experience a smooth transition when signing with the client.Other tasks as required from time to time. Safety, Compliance and Training Embody the client safety Vision "Think SAFE, Work SAFE, Live SAFE" and Safety Expectations within all facets of the site and roleEnsure a safe workplace for all staff, visitors, and customers reporting all risks/hazards/incidents / near misses and accidentsActively participate and facilitate safety risk assessments including Ready for Start-up Review (RFSR), HAZOP, MOC, HAZID, and Design reviewsParticipate in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and help facilitate activities that are planned for the siteUnderstand the Company's Critical Risks, Controls, and Enablers as per the Critical Risk Handbook and how they pertain to your roleEnsure all staff, visitors, and contractors operate within clients' safety rules including Permit To Work (PTW) requirementsEnsure safety is at the forefront of all tasks and activities.Maintain safety, tidiness, and housekeeping throughout all offices and vehicles.Completion of all training by the required deadlinesConstantly improving knowledge of all gases and productsWhat You Need: Non-negotiables Minimum 4 years experience as Business Development ManagerExperience in B2B solution sales prospectingExperience in new business sales and Internal SalesPreferred skills/expertise: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbalThe ability to establish productive, professional relationships at all levels of the business, including liaising with many departments and specialties to achieve positional objectivesStrong negotiation skills including the ability to elicit desired resultsSales Driven and customer-centric approachGreat telephone manner
