Business Development Analyst

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Reporting to the Director for Business Development, the Business Development Analyst should have a track record in business development with good analytical and research skills and a strong background in accounting.
The duties of the position include performing analytical tasks for the purpose of developing, evaluating and providing reports that cover an assessment of sales and marketing operations and processes, assessing impact of sales strategies, improving sales revenue, identifying new opportunities and potential sales channels, simulating financial scenarios for new business models and/or new markets and increasing market share.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Recommends strategies to enhance sales and identify opportunities
- Analyzes business operations to help streamline business processes
- Identifies areas for cost reductions to increase profitability and margins
- Adds value to product offerings to increase sales
- Creates business model scenarios / simulations and determines viability of given options
- Evaluates and improves sales strategies as well as new customers and markets
- Produces statistical models to help predict market trends and consumer behavior
- Analyzes consumer behavior to meet product demand and preferences
- Performs competitor analysis towards increased market share
- Identifies new channels and strategies that promote sustained income
- Conducts market research on emerging industry trends

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Development, Marketing, Accounting or similar (Masters Degree is an advantage)
- Previous experience as a business development analyst in a food & beverage company
- Experience in sales and marketing
- Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients
- Proven ability to improve competitiveness and increase market share
- Competency in industry research and research sales leads
- Ability to advise in strategic industry partnerships
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent computer and technical skills and math skills
