FUNCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT & MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Business Analyst will lead the understanding of significant business software challenges, gathering and analyzing information or data, and determining where to make improvements of business systems. The duties of an analyst include working with management and end users to gain an understanding of how the computer system of the business works and how it could work better. He/she will identify new requirements and review each piece of functionality fits into the overall business process.
Business analyst will assist in system design implementation, deployment and troubleshooting to help develop, launch and maintain effective IT systems. BSA works with solution consultants during requirements scoping and documentation, with project delivery and development during implementation and support teams as subject matter experts (SME).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows.
Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.
Solution Design:
Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges.
Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technological capabilities.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences.
Documentation
Create detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Project Implementation
Acts as SME in ERP, financial close and other project implementation.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/ CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Financial Planning Professional is a plus
Graduate of Bachelor Degree related to IT or Business/Accountancy Course
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
Practiced accounting or financial audit, financial close, financial planning and analysis, used financial automation tools such as Blackline, NetSuite (or other ERP), Oracle EPM/NetSuite NSPB (is a plus) or other financial planning and analysis tools. Strong process documentation skills
1-3 years accounting or financial audit experience
3-5 years any ERP and other financial tools implementation experience. 1-2 years using NetSuite cloud ERP
