Position is responsible for the overall performance of the branch. Oversees the general profitability and production of the branch and ensures that operations are at optimum levels and the branch's resources are maximized to achieve the goals and objectives of the branch; identifies and pursues new business opportunities for the branch.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesManages the overall operation of the whole branch.Approves the description, terms and conditions for policy issuance and ensures adherence to company policies and standards.Reviews collections and follows-up on outstanding accounts.Approves claims payment within approved authority limit.Manages the overall activities of the Agency Development Officer/Asst. Branch Manager and the recruitment and development of potential agents.Approves the programs for the quality training of agents, including the awareness of underwriting rules and regulations; evaluates the progress of said programs in relation to the achievement of the branch's goals and objectives.Manages the conduct of the inspection of risks, evaluates the risks and approves the acceptance of risks by the branch in relation to ensuring the overall profitability of the branch and adherence to company policies and standards.Manages the development and training of branch staff for the purpose of developing the necessary competencies to achieve its goals and objectives.Identifies and pursues new business opportunities for the branch.Minimum QualificationGraduate of a 4-year college course or a bachelor's degree.Must have good communication and negotiation skills.With proven track record in Business Development.One to two years actual or related experience in branch operations, claims adjustment, risk assessment and management, agency recruitment and development and branch operations administrative functions, gained through a prior job as Assistant Branch Manager or as a full-fledged Branch Manager.Must possess the ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments in order to achieve desired outcomes in a timely manner; ability to plan for the effective development and implementation of longer-term projects. Skills in forecasting, scheduling and coordinating resources within a group, department, or cost center or project assignment is also a must.Must possess the ability to supervise in both work assignments and performance development (appraisal) of a small to medium single operating unit or section handling varied and/or similar tasks and activities.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
