As a Telecom Services Specialist, you will be responsible for data entry, billing, and outage management. Your proficiency in using vendor and invoice processing portals will help our client streamline telecom operations. How You Spend Your Eight HoursDownload invoices from vendor portals (e.g., Centurylink) and input data into company databases
Handle data entry tasks, including processing up to 30,000 invoices per month
Verify circuit numbers, charges, and usage to ensure accuracy
Create new databases for new accounts and update existing ones based on established company standards
Set up and manage portal credentials, usernames, and passwords for billing systems
Coordinate with vendors and carriers to obtain letters of authorization (LOAs) and necessary access permissions
Receive and process outage tickets assigned by the help desk team
Contact vendors or carriers to report outages and work closely with them to resolve issues
Track and update the status of outages to promptly resolve them and update the help desk team accordingly
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to streamline data entry and outage resolution procedures
What You Must PossessOne to two years of experience in telecommunications
Experience in reading utility, telecom, and similar bills
Proficiency in using MS Access (required)
Experience in data entry, billing, or outage management
Proficiency in using databases and billing software
Familiarity with vendor portals and invoice processing (a plus)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve service outages effectively
Ability to document and report outage resolutions and data entry processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating workloads
Ability to work overtime during peak invoice processing season and on shifting schedules communicated in advance
