Bookkeeper

BOOKKEEPER – financial professional who is responsible for updating a company's financial accounts and records. Their duties include checking accounting records for accuracy, tracking invoices and payments and maintaining a system for organizing company documents.

Responsibilities: Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactionsPreparing and filing financial documentsProcessing accounts payable and accounts receivableFact-checking accounting dataReconciling company accountsTracking payroll dataAssisting with tax payments and returnsRecording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting processVerifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledgerBringing the books to the trial balance stageWorking with staff accountants as needed Key Skills: BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business AdministrationYears of bookkeeping experienceSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency in English and in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailThe ability to meet deadlines and communicate complex data.Exceptional organizational skillsAbility to prioritize projects.Excellent accounting skillsConfidentialityCPA is a plus.
