We are seeking highly motivated and talented BIM Engineer with a passion for civil engineering, data, programming, and automation to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Water & Maritime Projects and has the desire to use data, programming, and automation to improve civil engineering design and construction processes.
What you do as a BIM engineerUtilizing civil engineering domain knowledge and digital skills will be your bread and butter in your day-to-day activities. You will be involved in design activities such as:
BIM models for civil engineering designs, ranging from ports to land reclamation to river protection workscreating and analysing spatial data sets using GIScreating and managing Civil3D modelscreating and analysing datasets of engineering and construction projects to allow our engineers and managers to make an informed decisionautomating engineering and construction management processesensuring that project goals align with the overall vision and coordinating the BIM team involved in your projectsestablishing coordination workflows based on project timelines and objectivesdefining and verifying model levels of detail and related drawingsmanaging geometric and information interferences within the modelsfostering collaboration among team membersfacilitating communication and addressing any conflicts promptlyleveraging your knowledge of various Autodesk software, especially Civil3D, to enhance the projectAt Royal HaskoningDHV, we are committed to your development to become a BIM engineer equipped with the necessary skill set to service the increasing digital scope of our projects. Our Philippine office consists of colleagues based in our main office Makati and across project sites. As a team, we excel in a wide variety of services and have a significant and growing portfolio of opportunities in the fields of climate resilience (river basin management, flood mapping, coastal protection, drainage, climate adaptation), maritime (land reclamation, dredging, ports, harbors, and jetties) and renewables (offshore wind and solar). Our clients range from government bodies, development institutions (World Bank, ADB, etc.) to private developers. We provide them with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction management. Our projects are in the Philippines, but we also provide support within the APAC region and globally.
What you bringYou are highly motivated, quick learning, and you have a passion for civil engineering. You are keen for possibilities to automate/standardize existing engineering processes and you are willing to take up the discussion with the engineers and project managers who have ownership of these processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant degreesat least 3 to 7 years of experience as BIM Engineerstrong understanding of civil engineering principles and design conceptsexperience or willing to learn programming languages such as Python and MATLABexperience and affinity in working with data (and databases) is a mustfamiliarity with Civil Engineering software such as Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and other Autodesk Softwareexperience and affinity in working with Geographic Information System (GIS)strong problem-solving and analytical skillsexcellent written and verbal communication skillsstrong teamwork and collaboration abilitiesPersonal skills:
