Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled Business Development or Sales Group Leader (Department Head) with experience in business development, contract logistics, and freight forwarding. The position is based in Taguig City, Philippines.
Job summary:
Primarily responsible for leading the sales team to achieve sales targets directly influencing its revenue and growth through effective management for the Sales team and strategies.
Key job responsibilities include: Develop plans and strategies for business expansion and achieving the company's sales goals.Work closely with Operations, Innovations, and AP team to ensure pre-bid or bidding requirements are submitted on time.Manage the sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth.Define optimal sales force structure and manage hiring to scale the team appropriate to market conditions and opportunities.Set individual sales targets with the sales team, track performance, and adjust strategies as needed.Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the ongoing training of sales personnel.Drive the sales team towards high performance by conducting reviews, appraisals, and offering constructive feedback.Collaborate with Regional Sales Group and Leaders to establish and execute a sales goal for the subsidiary.Manage detailed reporting of sales metrics and KPIs, adjusting sales techniques and strategies based on data analysis.Compile and analyze sales figures, reporting back to senior management teams.Keep up to date with products and competitors in the industry.Attend network and promotional events to develop and maintain contacts.Understand customer needs and effectively communicate how our services can satisfy these needs.Devise new and original strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets.Key job requirements include: BS/MA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain Management or any other SCL related courses.At least 5-10 years of related 3PL selling experience, with working experience in business development, contract logistics, and freight forwarding required.Promotion history in renowned global companies (e.g., DHL, K+N, DVS Panalpina, DBS Schenker, CEVA, UPS, Expeditors, Flexport) preferred.Proven ability to influence decision makers.Strong understanding of supply chain, warehousing, or transportation solutions.Ability to effortlessly engage top management to drive win-win situations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical, planning, and organizing skills, with attention to detail.
