We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team at Lonely Owl Premier located in Global Business Tower, N.Domingo, Quezon City. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, creating high-quality beverages and providing a welcoming environment for our customers. As a Barista, you will play a key role in crafting drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and Serve Beverages: Make and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, consistently following recipes and presentation standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide prompt and friendly service. Answer customer questions about the menu and make recommendations.
Cash Handling: Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure proper cash handling procedures and balance the cash register at the end of shifts.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the barista station, equipment, and seating areas clean and organized. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Inform the Cafe Manager when stocks are low and assist in inventory control.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other cafe staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso-based drinks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
