Hi! We're Smartsourcing, looking for a Bank and Sales Reconciliation Specialist who can work with us full-time and on-site!
Where? Crown 7 Business Centre, Pope John Paul II Ave, Cebu City, Cebu As a Bank and Sales Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of our partner's bank accounts and sales transactions. This role involves verifying and balancing financial records, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues. The specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Some of the things we expect you to do are to: Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records. Record and post bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Monitor bank fees and resolve issues related to unauthorized or incorrect charges. Sales Reconciliation: Reconcile sales transactions across various platforms, including POS systems, online sales, and other revenue streams. Verify that all sales data is accurately recorded in the financial system. Identify and resolve discrepancies between sales reports and financial records. Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to address any issues affecting sales reconciliation. Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including the preparation of bank reconciliation reports. Ensure all reconciling items are addressed promptly and properly documented. Provide support for financial audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation related to reconciliations. Reporting: Generate and analyze reconciliation reports to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to management to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of reconciliation processes. Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal controls related to cash management, sales reporting, and reconciliation processes. Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve reconciliation procedures. Requirements We would need you to be or have the following: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in bank and sales reconciliation, preferably in a corporate or retail environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Proficiency in financial software and Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
