Backhoe Operator

?Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules and procedures to include personnel protective equipment?Able to work independently and is expected to maintain a schedule of work?Excavate lagoons/earth moving?Perform additional duties or projects as assigned?Safely operates heavy equipment, back loaders, forklifts, to perform base maintenance?Supports other shops by using heavy equipment to move materials, dig foundations/footing, trenches, ditches, hauls equipment, to accomplish the mission?Periodically performs stand-by duties for after hour emergency work?Is responsible for the safe and technically proficient operation of heavy equipment?Arranges equipment maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations or as directed by the Vehicle Maintenance Facility and Supervisor, Fleet Operations
