Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules and procedures to include personnel protective equipmentAble to work independently and is expected to maintain a schedule of workExcavate lagoons/earth movingPerform additional duties or projects as assignedSafely operates heavy equipment, back loaders, forklifts, to perform base maintenanceSupports other shops by using heavy equipment to move materials, dig foundations/footing, trenches, ditches, hauls equipment, to accomplish the missionPeriodically performs stand-by duties for after hour emergency workIs responsible for the safe and technically proficient operation of heavy equipmentArranges equipment maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations or as directed by the Vehicle Maintenance Facility and Supervisor, Fleet Operations
