Job DescriptionAs a SQL Server Back-End Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and extending our data infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing MS SQL Server-based data warehouse by developing and integrating new features, while ensuring thorough documentation and scalable design.In this role, you will lead the development and management of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), facilitating seamless integration between various enterprise platforms such as SAP, JIRA, and other key systems. A key aspect of your role will involve supporting and driving our migration to the cloud, with a particular focus on Microsoft Fabrics. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and cloud solutions.Your key tasks Extend and optimize data models to support new business functionalities and processes, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance database solutions.Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from multiple sources including SAP, JIRA, and other business platforms.Design and implement database components using T-SQL, ensuring efficient query execution and database performance tuning.Monitor and support the daily operations of our Datawarehouse, resolving issues and providing technical support as necessary.Manage and maintain source code in BitBucket repositories, ensuring version control best practices and collaboration.Contribute to the cloud migration strategy, particularly around Microsoft Fabrics, leveraging your expertise in SQL Server and cloud technologies to ensure a smooth transition. Qualifications5+ years of experience in SQL Server development and SSIS/ETL processes in a complex, enterprise environment.Expertise in T-SQL for developing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance.Strong proficiency in C# for building custom SSIS Script Tasks and integrating data solutions through REST APIs.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve technical issues effectively and permanently.Proven ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis for troubleshooting data issues and optimizing database performance.Good Data Analysis and Data Modelling skillsExcellent communication skills for documenting solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.It would be a real bonus if you haveExperience in Web Development or ASP.NET core web forms is a plusFamiliarity with cloud migration, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Fabrics or similar technologies.
