Overview of the Role
The Business Analyst/Scrum Master will serve a dual role, combining the analytical expertise of a Business Analyst with the agile leadership skills of a Scrum Master. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions while ensuring agile practices are followed and team dynamics fostered for optimal project delivery.
Main duties include:
Business Analysis
Elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
Develop detailed business cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
Facilitate the prioritization of requirements based on business needs and technical constraints.
Work closely with the development team to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented as specified.
Conduct usability testing and ensure the delivered solutions meet business needs and user satisfaction.
Scrum Mastery
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews).
Serve as the Scrum Team's coach to implement and improve agile practices, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
Resolve impediments and shield the team from external disruptions to maintain focus on sprint goals.
Manage project timelines, track progress, and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders.
Foster a team environment that encourages continuous improvement, innovation, and a growth mindset.
Project Management
Coordinate with other team roles to ensure smooth progress through the project lifecycle.
Monitor project risks and scope creep to ensure delivery within time and quality parameters.
Facilitate communication between internal teams to ensure alignment and address potential issues proactively.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a liaison between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders.
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and communicate project status.
Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed towards the best possible outcomes.
Successful applicants should:
Graduate with any bachelor's degree courses
At least 1 year of working experience as a Business Analyst and/or Scrum Master
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification (preferrable)
Proficient in tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office.
Experience with Lean, Kanban, or other agile frameworks.
Advanced certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) is preferred
